Please post your experience about PCC requirement. Are they asking PCC from local police station in addition to one issued by Indian Consualte in US.

Yes, I completed my CP interview on May 20th successfully. You definitely need PCC from local police station, even if you are not residing in India currently. If Local police station (Inspector of police) is refusing to issue PCC, approach Commissioner or DSP and get it. You need only one PCC from Local police station of current residence in India and not from all areas where you resided more than six month since attaining the age of 16 because this is taken care by PCC issued by regional passport office or Indian consulate in US. I hope this should help. However, this is not a legal advice.
