Hi, quick questions for returning Packet 3 from Canada (Montreal consulate).

    a) The draft/money order in US funds drawn on a US Bank - any ideas where this can be obtained in the Toronto area - I mean does the draft have to be issued by a US Bank or can I get one from a Canadian one (in US$) and use that?

    b) I have instructions to use DS230 Part I and II when returning Packet 3. I notice some of you have talked about DS2000/DS2001 - is this required for Montreal processing?

    c) Any ideas on the vaccinations - how did anyone go through that - did you all get tested /vaccinated by your doctors and carry that certification with you for the medical?

    Thanks

    a) All major banks in Canada have US branches/affiliates. The M.O. will have a US address. Not to worry.

    b) You probably need it.

    c) If you can't get a vac record, you will be re-immunized at your expense.

      1. A money order or draft in USD from any candian bank is sufficient

      2. DS230 Part I and Part II is correct. DS2000/2001 is probably a new name for the same forms

      3. You do need the vaccination records. During your medical exam, if you dont show evidence of past vacc they will give you the required shots at your own expense. If you know you have had the shots in the past, talk to your doctor about getting some tests done that show existing immunity. That is what I did. They do some blood tests that show that I have had the shots in the past.
