Tax returns for 3 years or 1 year for CP?

1. I have read two different requirements -- a) tax returns for last year and b) tax returns for last three years. Which is correct?

2. At stage of CP are the tax returns required? Are they needed for sending "Packet 3" to St. Louis? or To take to interview?

Bring the last 3 years. Personally, I wasn't even asked for tax returns or W2's at my interview last week (Montreal).

just the employment letter is enough.. though it doesn't hurt to have as much of documentation as u can get... after all, u only do it once... and it's better than being asked to come back with additional documents...

I got the interview in Montreal because I am a Canadian Citizen. I was not asked for anything that was not listed in my Packet 3/4. Don't think of CP as an interview but rather as "document verification".

Could the administrator kindly respond to the original question in this thread? My consular post is Montreal. IMMIHELP pages mention 3 years' worth of tax returns, while my attorney told me only 1 year is required. Which is it?

Listen, you need to bring enough evidence that you can support yourself and your family (if applicable). Some people have reported being asked for 3 years at Montreal, some 1, and some none (like myself). Bring three...I don't see what the big deal is.
