I am landed immigrant of Canada, and also working in US on H1-B.
I just want to check if I can maintain my Canadian status while working in US on H1-B visa.
If I am paying taxes in US as a Canadian resident (i.e. paying dual taxes in US at a higher rate), will that time working in US count towards my eligibility to apply for Canadian Passport.
And if you know any legal advisor that has expertise in this area, please post the contact info in the reply.
