waiting for the interview call for the last 6 months

Gurus, please help me. I send my fedex (my lawyer says so ) to delhi consulate on oct17 but my interview date has not yet been scheduled. I am scared since i have only 1 more year left in my H1 visa.

This is very unusual. Call the NVC immediately. You probably missed your appointment. Give your lawyer a thrashing for not following up.

I think this is not unusual. One of my friend sent his packet 3 in Oct only and got his interview scheduled in April. Better check with the consulate if they have your packet. If they have then just wait for the interview.
