Has anyone filed a form to transfer paperwork from one consulate(Mumbai) to another (Chennai), since the first consulate received paperwork in error?
I was told that Mumbai would not process the case, as the place of birth does not come in its jurisdiction. I had a form filed for transferring the same, have not heard back from Chennai yet. It has already been 5 weeks since I mailed the form.
How long does this normally take?
Also, do I get a new case number for Chennai to look for appointments?
