  • NVC CP Processing - Sending missing documents

When you send you paket3 to NVC it takes 5-8 weeks to review it. Once they review it they will schedule an interview in the consulate for two months later and send packet 4.

NVC just sent me a letter about incomlete documents and that I need to send them a couple of missing documents. I did that.

Does this mean that I have to wait another 6-8 weeks for them to review the missing documents or will it be faster?

    Thanks ...

    Hello,

Are they requesting PCC with P3. was that the missing document.

Please clarify what all we need to send with P3. It may be helpful for us waiting to send P3.

    I appreciate your help

    Thanks,
    Gopal

        RNASRIN..........u are really mean !!!!!!

People like you need help from other people without providing info about ur case. U might be the first ones to receive packet3 in Jan with new procedure. It would have been nice of u to share info about contents of packet3 but u didn't. Now u come back to board when u needed help. Shame on u.

            Sorry !

I will kindly respond to your questions, when I check the message board .

Anyway, the documents missing were DS-230 Part 2 and a certified copy of my original birth certificate. I resent the docs to NVC.

It took them 6 weeks to review my packet 3 and to send a letter describing the missing documents and what I should do. Now that I have sent them what they need,
how long will it take for them to review the missing documents?

            Thanks

              packet3 docs

              For each applicant they need:
              DS-230 I
              DS-230 II not signed
              OF-169
              birth certificate
              Marriage certicate
              Divorce certificate
$260 check made to Dept of States
              Police certificates
              I-134 for dependants
              passport copies

They also need certified English translations if docs not in English.

They send the instructions to the lawyer.
NVC will do the review in this case and when it is complete it will schedule an interview in the embassy. NVC will then send you packet4 with interview date and instructions.

It takes 6-8 weeks to review these, but if something is missing they will send a letter and it will take more time before they review the missing docs.

I want to know how much time it will take them to reveiw the missing docs?

Re: packet3 docs..Imp Information from NVC

I just spoke with a NVC Operator and she told me that for Mumbai you do not have to send PCC and Birth Certificate while sending packet 3 to st.Louis.

The only thing you need to send to st.Louis is completed DS-230 and 260$ money order/dd.

                    Did you send originals?
When do you get them back?

                      NVC

At first I sent them a certified translation and a photocopy of the original for b-certs.

They sent it back after six weeks and yesterday my lawyer sent them a certified copy of the original b-certs and DS-230 II. These were the only things they required.

For Montreal, b-certs and PCCs are needed.

                      Thanks

                        docs needed

                        CP Guys,

I should mention here that when anyone is posting message in this board please be specific other wise it might create confusion to people on this board like rnasrin's posting.
He/She is for Montreal and that is why the requirement is different.
I have already received my p3 (Bombay) and it clearly states that ds230 p1,$260 per applicant I need to send them along with a paper they have send (looks like bill).
So there is no need to send any docs to NVC (for Bombay). If there is any CHennai and Delhi guy pls post there requirement also.
                        Hope I mentioned everything properly.

                        Thanks a lot.

                          Re: docs needed

What's the defenition of a "certified" copy. My P3 instructions for Montreal says photocopy of my b-certificate. Does certified mean notarized? If so, why is the b-certificate certified and not anything else?

                            Re: docs needed

I think they mean the same thing by notarize and certify.
They asked me to notarize the b-certificate photocopy or send them the original. I think if you notarize all your photocopies of the original docs it would help.

Question for GhoshT Re: docs needed

                              Mr. Ghosh,

Can you let me know which version of DS230 form you are sent by NVC. There are three versions of it on Immihelp site. Could you please let us know which one is current. I am expecting my packet 3 in 2-4 weeks. My family is in India currently, so I was thinking I will download the form and send it to them for signature. That way when I get P3 from NVC, I can immideatley turn it in. I am going through Bombay consulate EB category. Your response is greatly appreciated.
