  • Help please Abu..

I have following questions. I would appreciate if any one can clarify.
    In ds230part1

Item # 14 (Name of Spouse(maiden or family name))
do i need to write my wife's last name before marriage or after marriage.

Item#23 (List below all educational institutions attended)

Here I saw a discrepency in my LC(ETA 750) and in my original certificate in the FROM/TO(mm-yyyy) portion.
In orig LC FROM/TO(mm-yyyy) is not exactly same as in certificate (few months diffrence).
Hence do i write as it was in LC or should write as exactly in certificate.
    What are the impacts?
    Please answer my questons experts.

    Thanks.

You will write the name in her passport. If it is her married name then thats OK. If it is her maiden name that is fine to. In her DS230 Part 1 she will need to put down her full name (as in her passport).

If she is using her married name then she will have to list her maiden name in the section for other names she has used. This is extreemly common and nothing to worry about.

You can write it down as it says on the certificate. A typo on the LC should not be a problem since the your I-140 is approved and the Consulate will not try to readjuducate your case. They probably wont even ask you for the certificate since it is not relevent to your visa application anyway.

Since you have an approved I-140 they will assume that the INS is happy with your educational background and Labour Cert.

But still it is always better to be safe than sorry. So you may want to check with a lawyer before you go.
