  • Question for Abu Lafya and others.

My 6 year H1 term is finishing on 15th Feb, 2002 and my interview has been scheduled for 14th Feb,2002 at US consulate, Chennai. Is there something that I should be prepared to provide or anything to do special?
Also company used previously approved labor (they did not apply one for me as they already have one for my position) for my I-140. Is this going to create some alert with office in consulate?

    Please provide your input.
    Thank you.

    Technically, you are fine.
There is *very minute* risk that you will have to fetch some missing document and will not have a valid visa to use.

I think it is allowed to make use of previously issued LC I am not too familiar with rules for that. Anyhow, if your I140 was approved, very unlikely anyone now will object.

Abu Lafya - Please give some advice, need help

      Hi Abu,
I posted this topic yesterday but no one has replied back, could you please help with any advice :

Could anyone please give me some info, here's my dilemma:

My CP interview is on 28th Feb and I dont have sufficient time for PCC, as per what I hear , it takes 30 to 35 working days.
I had CP interview earlier in october but due to some reason I had to postpond it and it took another 4 months to get the new date. My visa expires on 01 May 2002. So I cant afford to miss this GC date but at the same time I dont have enough time to aquire PCC. Is it possible for me to get PCC directly from India, if so how long will it take. If not, what other alternatives do i have, will Indian embassy in USA speed up the PCC process due to urgency ?

Any information would be really appreciated.'
      Thanks.

Re: Abu Lafya - Please give some advice, need help

I am not indian. I got PC as many other countries by applying in US at consulate.

YOU MUST GET PC or you may get stuck.
