  • new procedure - time delay - 3 months?

Here is why I think so:
    1. Transfer of 824/140 approval to NVC, NH (Existing procedure. Allocated time: 12 weeks)
    2. Packet 3 mailed to Attorney (Existing. 4-6 weeks),
    3. Filled up Packet 3 mailed to St.Louis Center, which will forward it to NVC, NH (New. 4-5 weeks)
    4. NVC check the docs, will forward it to the respective consulate (New. 6-8 weeks)
    5. Consulate schedules an interview (Existing. 6-8 weeks)

Of course all of the above are estimates, I've heard from various sources, including NVC Center. If the above is true, then it means an added delay of 10-14 weeks.

In fact, my case was created at NVC within 3 weeks. I saw many other postings where cases has been created in just 3 weeks - a far cry from the stipulated 12 weeks.

    Guys, your opinions, please?

You dont need to tranfer I824/140 to NVC.Many consulates accept Attorney Certified I-140 with the I-824 receipt.

Which consulate you are going through for CP? My case has not been created even after 3 weeks. And there is a back log of 5-6 weeks as per *********.com. But I also noticed that for certain countries (Excluding Asia) like canada, Austrelia cases have been created within a week.

        Madras.
I did notice several approvals in another portal, most of them were VSC. What is your Service Center? I think NSC is lagging behind.

Yes, mine is NSC, but where does service center come in picture once case is sent to NVC from the service center?

What I am saying, is that it is possible that INS just didn't send the application to NVC. Of course, if NVC acknowledges that it has received the application, thats a different story.
Why don't try calling NVC by 8.00 am EST? I was able to speak to an officer, no AVM, or hold time; a couple of rings and I was speaking.

            Best of luck!
