One Spouse Trying AOS and the Other CP - Experts need help

Can we have two processes going on concurrently

I have filed for AOS and my wife is secondary applicant

We now want to do CP with wife as primary and me as secondary.

Are there any consequences?

Hi,
My husband had applied for AOS and I applied for CP.
We finally did CP since the interview was scheduled pretty fast by the Consulate.

We have received our Green cards and there were no problems whatsoever. In fact, my lawyer had suggested this route.
