Only First Name on Birth Certificate

My wife has only her first name on her BC and in the passport she has her first, last and middle name spelled out.
Does this cause any problems.

no..shouldn't be a problem. Mine was a similar case. The official who checks your BC is an Indian person..he knows this system in India where the corporation does not list the last name of the child.
