  • Delay in Packet 3 :-( from NVC

Today I talked to NVC representative about my I-140 that was approved on 12/18/01 and sent to NVC. He confirmed that the packet was received on 12/31/01 and is still sitting in the mail room. He then asked me which country I am from and said that they will send information to my law firm by mid of February. This means that now the process is taking more time than it used to. As per CP tracker, P3 creation was not taking more than 15 days after the case was received. But now it takes 45 days :-( Could it be due to the change in process?

    Most likely.
When you do get P3, please post instructions for everyone to see.

Me too. Got I-140 approval first week of Dec. Still no P3 in sight. Now planning to opt for 485 instead

My 140 was approved on Oct 29, 2001 from VFS. Still waiting to hear from NVC

Agree, it use to be ~15 days in average. But longer processing is common as well. I know about 2 cases - 41 and 39 days. My case took 35 days to be processed (+ 10 days to reach lawyer office). Be patient.
