  • AC-140 case - Hardship

Is Hardship required to be proved in case of CP - AC140 (EB3) at Mumbai ?

If yes , can any of you please tell how to prove such?.

Not any more. Immihelp (probably) needs to update its site. You need your I140 to show AOS preference and a receipt (as opposed to approval) of I824.

Note that there are a few changes emminent with regards to CP and there is some uncertainty about AC I140 and CP in general.

      Thank You Abu.

Assuming that case is accepted at Mumbai consulate , can you please explain why hardship is "not any more" ?.
Is there any change in Law ?.

        Please read:
        www.immihelp.com/gc/consular/memo.html
The memo is dated Sep 27 2000. So, it is not anymore for over a year now.

In AC I-140 page, I have mentioned that please read www.immihelp.com/gc/consular/memo.html Whatever is written in that memo overrides whatever is there in another sections of CP.

Note also that if "case is accepted" by consulate, then that's that. No more requirements to go through AC I140 path.
