New procedure for CP from jan 2002

I recieved following info from my attorney,

1. Once our office receives the Packet 3, we will mail it via FedEx to a P.O. Box in Missouri.

2. Once the Packet 3 is received in Missouri, it will take 4 to 5 weeks for the Packet 3 to be updated in the NVC computer.

3. Once the Packet 3 has been updated in the NVC computer, it will take 6 to 8 weeks for them to review the Packet 3.

4. If the Packet 3 is complete, it will be sent via Diplomatic Pouch to the consulate which will process your visa. (The packet must be sent
via Diplomatic Pouch, the NVC will not send it via FedEx, even if we provide the label and our billing information). It will take 1 to 12 weeks for the Diplomatic Pouch to reach the consulate.

In other words, it will take anywhere from 11 to 25 months in order for
the consulate to receive your Packet 3 once we receive it from the NVC.

CP is not a good option anymore it ?

1. I think you meant weeks and not months.
2. How do you know about the time durations? It is unlike them to specify how much time for each phase.

Please clarify.

The information I posted was received from my attorney by NV

Even the time time frame directly from NVC

Since it is new procedure, we yet to experience it.

If anyone has more information about the process and time line and clear picture of the process please post it.
