Consulate/City to be chosen for CP

Hi Guys,

I just got my labor certification and I will be filiing for I-140 pretty soon. I am planning to go to Consular Processing.

I have a question/problem regarding the Consulate to be chosen for CP:

I am from Andhra (which comes under Chennai Consulate). I worked in Delhi for 3 years and that is when I got my passport issued by Delhi passport office with my Delhi address. My H1-B visa also is issued by Delhi Consulate.

So, when I apply for my I-140 which consulate should I opt?

Opt for the one u prefer

In my case i'm from Mp which comes under bombay consulate but as i'd worked in Delhi and had my H1 stamped from Delhi, I opted for New Delhi and got it without any prob...
I believe there migt be an isolated case where the INS assigns the consulate of jurisdiction instead the one asked for.
