No questions asked in the interview. I think many people have already posted the documents so I don't like to reapeat, if anybody has question please do ask. Once again Thank you very much to Immihlep.

Congrats. I have one question. Some people are saying that Police clearance certificates are required from Jan 02 onwards even for Indians who just lived in India and US. Do you have any idea about this. Did you hear any changes reagrding this issue.

PCC Certificate

Dont worry,

I called chennai Consulate office yesterday night at 10:18 PM to 8112060 No. Lady officer said you need PCC if you stay ONLY in india.

This is of the people who apply for US GC from india and staying in India.

Not for the people who lived in Both India and US.

I hope it is clear.

2.and the vaccination list you took.
3.Do the kids need to take TB test??

1. OF 171 Visa Appointment Letter
2. OF 230 Part I & II Visa Application
3. Marriage Certificate
4. Wedding Pictures
5. Birth Certificate
6. Employment Letter, 3 months Bank Statements, Income Tax Returns from IRS for 3 years
7. Green Card Photo's 3. Sign on two copies. Do not sign on 3rd copy
8.Affid of Support for spouse & child I 134 duly notorised in US
9. Medical Resports (No Xray)
10. Form 9003
11. Passport for each applicant

Regarding the vaccination we took only MMR. No body asked for TB test. Please do not go to Dr.Mathai Thomas for physicals. He is very serious, strict & not co-operative.

Yes, you can give Hotel Palm Grove address for Blue Dart courier but i am not sure of safe. We gave our parents address & next they delivered. All the documents were safe & correct.

Did the consulate mention Police certificate in the list of documents to be brought for the interview ?
sorry for raising this issue again which I thought was no longer issue with Chennai. In my pkt4, the list of documents mentions the Police certificate. And, it does not say if applicable. So, looks like we have to get it.

No. Police Certificate required only when you have stayed for 6 months & above other than India & US. So if you have mentioned in Pocket 3 then you may require. Any way please call chennai consulate & clarify immediately,ok. I am not sure about the new rules.Some say it is for the people who stay in India so when you call consulate please mention that you are staying in US.
