I have mailed the DS230 Part I form to the address of the United States Embassy since more than one month .
Please tell me how long it will take before I am scheduled for an appointment for a visa interview ?

It could take up to 1 year

I am waiting for an appointment for my husband at the US consulate in Mexico - we´ve been waiting for 5 months. The consulate said it could take up to 1 year to receive a Visa interview. Until then my husband is stuck in Mexico.

they are right it has been taking about 9-12 months to get your interview. they are working on the backlog of applicants right now and are working on applications submitted in october 2006.so good luck !
