Hi Friends ,
It was a very pleasant surprise for me when i received my Plastic Permanent card within 27 days of my date of port of Entry. Also the POE was San Francisco. It's a great Christmas present from INS to my family !! Consular Processing Rocks !!!! I am not sure if this was an exception , but as far as the trend goes , the INS processing time for issuing plastic permenant resident cards is very fast nowadays.
