  • Employment Letter

My current designation is different from what
has been approved in Labour Certification.
Does my Employment Letter contain both my present and
future Designations?I hear that during the Interview
they ask you what you are working as.

Check below the format for the letter. Basically your company needs to put down that the offer stated on the labor cert is open to you. This is what I took to the consulate. My job was also different [not entirely] at the time.

    Month-Day-Year

Consulate General of the United States
    Lincoln House
    78 Bhulabhai Desai Road
    Mumbai - 400 026
    INDIA

    Dear Sir or Madam:

Mr. X has been employed by Company A since Month-Day-Year. He is currently working for us as a YYYY engineer at an annual salary of $ XX, ZZZ.

Company A has made an offer of full-time permanent employment to Mr. X to serve as a YYYY engineer as stated under the terms and conditions of his approved Alien Labor Certification. This offer will commence as soon as Mr. X’s immigrant status permits him to accept it. This offer is still open and will continue to be open for the indefinite future.

Regardless of what is stated above, both parties reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time without cause or advance notice.

I declare, under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States that the foregoing is true and correct.

Should you have any questions, please direct them to our attorney, Mr. Z, at 888.888.8888.

    Respectfully yours,

    Mr. Y
    Vice President, Engineering
