    It seems that NVC auomated system does not get updated frequently. A NVC operator told me today that my packet 3 was mailed on 11/21/2000 but the automated sytem still says the same old thing (your petition is current; a packet of forms and instructions for the further processing will be forwarded to the beneficiary in the next 4-6 weeks).

    I will suggest to the guys waiting for packet 3 to talk to an operator if it has been 3-4 weeks since NVC received the petition from INS and the automated system does not give info about packet 3.

    I have tried the number given my I140 mapproval,but its an automated one. Can you please get me the number to talk to the operator directly reg my packet ?

      It is the same number (603-334-0700) that I used to talk to an NVC operator. If you call during working hours and enter a wrong receipt number, you will be prompted for talking to an operator by pressing 0. I read this trick on this board sometime back.
