Hand Delivery of Packet 3 at New Delhi

I have read in this discussion group that many CPers got packet 3 hand delivered. I am also planning to do so at New Delhi. I have two questions in this regard.

1. Is there any particular time slot when one needs to submit packet 3 or will it be accepted anytime on a working day?

2. Does the consulate acknowledge the receipt of packet 3 right away or will it mail the receipt later?

Any further note of advice on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

1. Packet will be accepted only between 2.00-4.00PM
IST.

2. They don't give you any acknowledgement. Usually
they will enter the info from the P3 into their
system at the counter itself (though I don't know
for sure how much info they enter into the system).
if you call about 1 week after the p3 is hand
delivered,you can confirm with them that they have
it in their system.
