Hi

My packet reached chennai on first week of november
(thanks that u suggested hand delivery ! ) and i'm hoping i will
get interview in JAN (H1 expires on 15th JAN)
Now i understand
that we have to fill OF-130 part 2 and also IRS some form ...
Did u do that ? Is it the sailing permit or the 3 year tax return
thing ?
What other documents/prep. i can do for the Pcket
4 ?

also we have taken all vaccinations and finished
physical here and we have the sealed envelope too. do we have
to go thro the same thing there also ? i read that one should
take chickenpox vaccine but other than that will this medical
be sufficient ?

1. Most definitly you will make Jan ( Hand delivery till now
seems to be sure shot).
2. If you browse thru old postings/
this web site you will see the list of documents that are required.
3. Also once your interview date is confirmed you have to
fax a authorization letter to your friend or family to collect
Packet4 ( As they now do not mail the entire packet 4 to the
US only appointment letter).
4. I will fill the forms when
I get to India as my father will pick up the P4 in person.
5. I have got tax trasncripts calling the IRS 800 number &
also plan on walking to a IRS office to collect sailing permit.
6. Your medical here ( sealed envelop is partially useless)
, you have to do a physical in India but you do not have to repeat
the vaccinations.

I think I have answered all your questions.
The numbers for IRS etc, can be found on other old postings.<

yeah i will surely browse and get the required documents
list. BTW, when my father and delivered the packet they have
asked him my contact address in INDIA. They told my father that
they will send notification (packet 4 ? )to that address and
also a copy to the US address.
But i think i will send an
authorisation letter in advance. I can do it only after i get
the interview date right ?
Now with the sealed medical envelope,
i have a carbon copy the doctor here gave me so i guess i can
show that as a proof to avoid taking the vaccinations again.<

Well when my father dropped the P3 too they asked as to why I did not provide the Indian address. My father's response was "Hey I am a messanger only". Contact my son or the Attorney if required. For which they said it they were mearly suggesting the indian address because the Appointment letter may not reach the US in time but they also said that was no big deal as duplicates can be picked up from the counter.

- Yes send the Auth..z letter once your interview date has been confirmed.
- FYI the sealed envelop is now useless, you can open it. It just has the form that is filed to the INS.

what you can do is go to the clinic where you took the inniculations and ask them for a letter of proof of innoculations and they will issue you one.

You can take the letter to the doctors in India and they will honor these innoculations (save some cash).

Get the letter too to be safe as they may want to innoculate again in India ( More cash for them)
