I just called INS and asked for trandsript copies of my last 3 years, they asked for basic info and said they will mail them.

you can go to your local IRS office and request past 3 years tax returns. they will print out the returns and give you on the spot (take a photo ID with you, like drivers' license)

Is this 3 year Tax returns compulsory??

In my case I have spent only 2 years in US, Should you get an Income tax for the third previous year from India or what OR Only 2 year Tax report would do.

3 Tax returns are only for your stay in U.S.A. If you stayed only for 2 years then you should get it for 2 years
and if you stayed for more than 3 years than you should get at least for 3 years.

You are wrong Rockstar. I had my CP done at Mumbai last month
and they asked for my 1999 tax return. It was returned to me
in the evening along with the passport and the Visa documents
