Birth Certificate incorrect

Hello: Somebody at the local Birth registration center entered my birth month incorrectly. Hence I have my BC with the correct date and year but wrong month. On all other documents (high school graduation, undergrad graduation, passport etc) I have the correct information. What additional document should I carry with my BC when I go for the CP?
For example
My BC says 24/7/1976 <--incorrect month
All other docs say 24/8/1976

Hello Immihelp: Thanks for the info. I appreciate ur help. Few more questions on ur response:
1.Will both the affidavits say the same thing but signed by my father and someone else close to me.
2. This document needs to notarized, right? Can I get it notarized by some notary local here in US or does it have to be done by somebody in India from the place I was born.
