Hi guys,
Many of you would remember the delay in my case. Here are the important details :
Went for interview on 25 Oct. Took photos from here only, didnt had to redo the photos there. We did not have the BC, had taken affidavits. They did not ask for BC or the affidavits. Specifally asked for the employment letter. They did not even take the police certificate, i lived in switzerland for 2 years.
We were at the consulate at 7.45. Even though we were the first in depositing the fee and 230, our call came in pretty late. I dont think they do it in order. We were finally out at 12:15 pm.
In the evening, we were told that because of 'NCIC result awaited', they cannot issue visa and we to check again in 2 weeks. I was hell scared. I kept calling them from dehradun every other day and different persons came with different answers. Called lawyer also and NVC too but they could not help, asked me to be just patient. Finally, the Name check cleared on 7 Nov and we collected the visa on the same day.
I came to LA and no problems at all. Was asked to goto counter 18 (INS pass) and there was hardly any queue there. He took our fingerprints and made us sign the blank form. I hardly read, he told that cards will be mailed in 6 months. He stamped both the passports and was writing my wife's alien number in my passport and i pointed that out.
Everall, no problems at all. Please ask any questions and i will try to answer them to the best of my knowldge.
