  • CP - Delhi : Delivery of Packet 3 documents

I have been following this board for the last two months and this is my first post on this board. In the first week of September, I sent in the AC I-140 to New Delhi Embassy. Though packet 3 documents were sent along with the AC I-140 application, they sent packet 3 documents again and asked me to submit the forms. New Delhi Embassy created a case for me in the last week of October. Well, according the lawyer when the consulate accepts the case, they will send the packet 4 documents. So, I am not sure whether my case is still accepted or not. Presently I am in India. Regarding my details - I was born and brought up in the southern part of India and did BE in U.P. before moving to the US. I took a chance and sent in AC I-140 to New Delhi post.

I will be hand delivering Packet 3 documents very soon at New Delhi. Does anyone go the embassy to drop in the packet 3 documents? Do I have to at a certain time or go in the morning and stand in a line? Or just drop in during the normal business hours and submit the packet 3 documents?

    Thanks

The following is from the US Embassy's web page:

"Detailed information on how to apply for an immigrant visa, priority dates, and documentation requirements can be had in person every workday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Consular Office's Information Window opening onto the street at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi."

They suggest the same time slot for getting the status information about the cases already pending at the Embassy. I guess Packet III will also be accepted during this time.
