I had sent my Packet III to the Delhi consulate on 10/29/2000 and it has been entered in their system. If the Chennai dates for Dec 2000, (EB2 - June 99)are correct my PD will No longer be current. I am doing CP at Delhi.

1) Will Delhi Consulate still go head and give me a Interview Date?

2) My friend had got a Interview date for Dec, but now his date too is no longer current. Will his Interview be cancelled.

What will be their next step. Any king of Help is appreciated.

Wait for a couple of days. The Mumbai website indicates that the priority date for EB2 is Jan 1, 2000.

This is most definitly a strange situation because.

1. The NVC should not have processed you case till your VISA dates were current or knew would be current soon.

2. The consulate again should not give you an interview date till yours dates are current but they have.

They will not be able to request a VISA number for you, so how can they hold the interview.

You must get in touch with them and clarify because that is better than making a trip all the way to India and blowing a lot of money.

Oops I did not read your entire posting before responding.

Actuall the Chennai Site posting of EB categories is an Error. They will correct it shortly. Mumbai site is correct. (Someone clarified from Chennai on the phone)

So your dates are Current I presume so you will be O.K so ignore my previous posting.

Xkuger, just to clarify you. My PD dates were current till these new dates came out. My PD is in July 99. So as per Nov dates it was Current, but with new dates it will not longer be current. Same for valid for my friend in Question 2.

I think the best thing is to wait for a few days to see. But I was just curious to know what the actual process is in such case. If Consulates have any?
