Details about the Oath at Consulate - Need Help

Hi,

Could someone, who has gone through the CP, please let me know the kind of "details" mentioned in oath at consulate, regarding joining the same employer after returning to US?

I "accepted an offer" before I even got packet 3. And also "started" H1 transfer process, thinking of dropping GC processing with old employer. But I am still with the old employer.

Can I still go for CP with old employer, "take oath" and then after coming back join my old employer and "after one month" join the new one?

Is it a right thing to do?
Assumption is, old employer is friendly.
Please reply. I would appreciate it.

I would not recommend such a thing if you have a choice. I think you should back out of your new job offer and stick to your old employer for atleast a few months and then look for a new job. You can potentially get into trouble if INS decides to investigate you for some reason. Besides you would sleep a lot better knowing that you did not lie under oath. But again people do all kinds of unethical things to get a green card including having **** marriages and i dont think you should worry too much about moral aspects of it. If this country had not actively excluded Indians and other asians for so long then I suspect that the Immigration Laws would be a lot more favorable to Indians and you wouldn't have to jump so many hoops to get a GC.
