CP at New Delhi ?

Sent my packet 3 to New Delhi on Aug 26. Courier shows receipt on August 28.

Called them several times this week but haven't managed to talk to anyone as yet.

Hope I dont have to travel on a short notice.

Worse, they may have lost my packet 3.

Has anyone received Packet 4, or IV date having sent packet 3 around end August.

Contacted consulate yesterday, they have told me to call next week for interview date.
My EB2, Delhi file completed 9/15 (They lost Fed Ex package in their mail room, hand delivered on 9/14)

Guys,

I was told to contact Delhi embassy after Oct. 15 to check if the dates were out. They also said expect the interview in Nov. Lets hope they will let us by next week, otherwise its not easy to book tickets at the last moment. My packet III was entered on Sept. 5. (VSC/EB3)

Will call next week to find out. Its extremely difficult to get through since these people will not answer the phone.
Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Finally got thru them yesterday. Their records did not have any information on my Packet 3. They have now entered my case and suggesting end December interview date.

I st@#%$gly recommend anyone applying at ND consulate to contact them for confirmation.

CP at New Delhi

talked to New Delhi on 17th.Details are:

Interview Date: Dec. 27
File comleted in Delhi : Sep. first week
I-140 AD July 7
EB2 RIR PD Apr.1, 99

I have couple of questions.Can my spouse ( I am principal applicant) go later for interview ? If yes,do I have to call them to reschedule ? Do I have to take all paperwork ( her birth cert. etc.) with me ?
If she is on H4 here what happens to her status when I get GC ?

How to find interview date at ND

1 I was under the impression that dates are decided for the following month on the 10th of the month. From these postings I am getting impression that dates are known much in advance. Is this TRUE ?

2. For people who have dates in late December 2000, when did you send your packet 3 to New Delhi ? One posting says date of entry Sept first week, what does that mean.

3. I mailed my Packet 3 to New Delhi on Oct 5, 2000 and checked on Fedex site that it is delivered on Oct 10, 2000. However, when I called them yesterday (Oct 18) they told me that they have not received it. Have they lost it in the mail room ? Shall I send another packet or general experience is that I should get it hand delivered ? If I need to get it hand delivered what time and where it needs to be given in New Delhi embassy ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I hand delivered P3 on 10/3 and got a date for 12/27. I suspect you will be getting a date late in January if they havent lost your P3. I would have somebody local( friend/relative) go to the consulate enquiry window in the afternoon ( 2-4PM) and check the status of your file. they can deposit another P3 if indeed your P3 has been lost

packet 3 lost by delhi embassy

My packet 3 was delivered to the Delhi Consulate on Oct 3rd by Airborne Express. After calling the visa section several times they say that they have not received my papers. I think there is a Ghost in the mail room!?!

I am now getting the papers hand delivered. Anybody have information how and whom to hand deliver?

Any specific person to ask for when calling Delhi?

my father called them in Delhi. It took him 1.5 hours as he kept getting voicemail. they say P4 mailed on 10/16 I still havent recieved anything in the mail

I need one help from you guys, my priority date is
still not current,

mine was applied in EB3 category during September 1997.
My I140 was cleared during August 2000.

and now I have got Packet III from New Delhi. So I should fill packet III forms and mailed/hand delivery
to Delhi consulate or I should wait till the Priority
date is current.?

Priority date and consular processing

My understanding is that you cannot file packet III if your date is not current. However, please check with your lawyer on this.

BTW, I was able to get through yesterday after repeated calls and was told that they have my file and can expect a response shortly with an interview date and hung up before I could ask anything else.

In order to get information on my case does somebody need to get into the embassy in Delhi to the interview window or do they provide this information at the window outside the gate?
