Hi,
I am currently on a L1 visa from a companyA that got aquired by company B. I had an EB1 peition from company A and have opted for consular processing in Chennai. An ammended EB1(140) is currently being filed by company B.
The L-1A visa stamp expired on the 26th of September 2000. However my I-94 card has a validity till Oct 2002.
My new company has a new blanket L1 petition approved for me. Is is an absolute must for me to go back to India and get the new L1 stamped in the name of the new company. I do not foresee me travelling out of the US again untill my GC interview happens in Chennai.
Is this in any way required for the CP process. Any help will certainlt be appreciated.
