CP for spouse on different date

Here is my question:
Is it possible for the spouse of a primary applicant, who is doing CP, to do the CP process a few months later or possibly file for I-485 instead? Here is my situation. Both me and my spouse are H-1B holders. I am waiting for my I-140 to be cleared where I've opted for CP. If my spouse cannot accompany me on the date I am scheduled for an interview for whatever reason(business related), is it possible to obtain a separate date for her since her visa status is not tied to mine (like it would be for an H-4 holder)? Can she file for I-485 instead rather than going for CP?

i think it is possible. she can go to interview after you but you will need to let the consulate know. Infact on OF 230 part 1 you can put your spouses name in question 14B. talk to a lawyer experienced in CP
