when dose NVC notify consulate about pack 3?

Hi IMMIHELP/CP gurus:

According to NVC message, they sent pack 3 to attorney on records on Oct 16th. When I spoke to an officer at NVC she said it was mailed on 23rd.

1. How much time it takes to reach my attorney?

2. When is consulate notifed by NVC or when dose NVC transfer the records to consulate?

1. In the past there is a week to 10 days delay between the day on the systems to the actual mailing date of the P3.
2. Your attorney depending on where he is, I would say a maximimum 2 weeks from the date it was actually mailed from the NVC.
3. The consulate will recieve you file in a week (It is sent electronically - I think).

So usually the consulate has your file before the attorney recieves you P3.

This is based on past experiences, however may differ based on a case to case basis and work load.

Final two question: Will really appreciate your response.

a) Can I call Consulate (Chennai, India) to confirm if they receieved the records from NVC?

b) MY PD is current. Should I wait for Pack 3 to reach my attorney or can I shoot it to consulate without waiting?
