  • Birth certificates without name

My birth certifiate was issued without a name on it. I heard many of my friends have the same problem in Andhra Pradesh. Municipality says they do not have my name on their records, as it was not reported by my parents after birth. My parents were supposed to inform my name within an year.

What should I do to make my BC valid? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    dpvaddi

    Birth certificate without name

I also have the same problem. My lawyer told me to take a Birth Affidavit with the certificate from my parents.

Mihika is correct get an affidavit from both your parents. Also carry your High School certificates (which have D.O.B.) just to be safe.

Get a Non-availability certificate from the local Municipality. Then you need two sworn affidavits from your parents showing the date of birth and parents name (both mother and father).

          BC without name

Who in the local municipality has to give the non-availabilty certicate? The local court?
The affidavit from parents, does that need to be notarized?
          Thanks
