problem with case number

Hi all,

I had got my case number from my lawyer as BMB2002...
But when i checked the consulate website the oly sequences were BMB2000... Could my lawyer have got the wrong case number from the consulate ?? . Also I have not received my Packet 4 yet . If my interview is scheduled for November what should i do ?? .

there are 5 digits after BMB2000. If you are one digit short, then maybe someone missed a zero. Better search on the last 5 digits at the consulate's appointment page.

Mumbai sends the case no. via e-mail. If the attorney typed it out for you instead of forwarding, that's another likely source of error.

Mumbai has currently posted the appointments for Nov. Most of these cases nos. were generated in Aug./Sept. So if you have just received your case no., you should expect your appointment earliest in Jan. the dates for which will be posted in early Dec.

You will receive your packet 4 only after your appointment is scheduled.
