where to get Sailing Permit at Chicago ?

I just got the packet 4 notice, whew finally the last piece of processing documents to immigrant visa. -

By the way, did anyone know the Chicago address (maybe IRS local office) to obtain the Sailing Permit ?

Or is there one place in Chicago area to request the sailing permit documents ?

when did you receive the packet 4?

Did some one pick it up at the consulate and mail it to you OR did you get it directly from the consulate?

Can you reply back with the postal dates from the envelope?

I'm scheduled for a interview on 11/1 at Mumbai and awaiting the packet 4.

my sailing permit experience at IRS Chicago suburb

Hi, folks

This morning I just got my sailing permit stamped by the IRS officer. She also gave me the 3 years tax return statements (1999, 1998, 1997), signed by the IRS. Basically she just asked me for the passport and driver license for verification. Bring your airline ticket won't hurt too.

It was a breeze process, it was done in about 15-30 minutes. Here's the address that I visited if any of you living in the Chicago suburb:

2001 Butterfield Road (just right between the Butterfield Road and I-355).
It is located inside the DoubleTree Suite complex, the IRS office is located on the 12th floor.
Open from M-F 8am to 4:30pm.

I think you can call IRS 800 number to get a closer local office near your area. (sorry, i forgot the number)

Now on the nscwait questions:
I am from Indonesia, so I am going to the US Embassy consulate at Jakarta.

Basically I called the consulate office at Jakarta last week and she told me that I have been assigned for the interview on November 16, 2000. They sent the packet IV to my home address at Jakarta.

I sent my packet III and received by the embassy on September 1, 2000.
