Medical tests question for CP

Immihelp, Please help!!!
If a person is suffering from chronic ailments such as diabetis, hypertension etc. what are the chances that he/she will be disqualified for immigration? Is it necessary to declare these facts at the time of medical? Also is it necessary to carry prescription for any medication that such person is taking?

No problems with medical if you have chronic illnesses-inform the doctor and he will enter it (if relevant)in your record.It does not affect your visa at all.Ive had a friend with dibetes get a visa in Chennai last month.

do you know what was asked to your friend at the time of medical? Did he have to produce any prescription or anything?

They are mostly interested only in potentially infectious diseases which could be a public health problem in USA eg infective tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases. None of the chronic ailments you have listed are infectious so you need not worry at all. Only other reason you could run into trouble is if you are an active drug addict or have serious psychiatric illness which could make you dangerous to others, an unlikely scenario if you are gainfully employed in the USA
