New IMMIGRATION BILL-Is it really a silver bullet

I read thru the new immigration bill however there seems to be some salient things that are missing that still seems to point to temperory fix.

- Firstly there is nothing that addresses backlog
reduction.
- Secondly no increase to immigrant Visa numbers.

Though there are some very good provisions such as getting around the 6 year limit. Also some more visa numbers from un used countries. Changing employers. Still the heart of the problem that I have listed above has not been addressed.

So will we really have relief in AOS ( Don't forget we have more H1's which in effect will also translate to that many Immigrant VISA applications)

I agree.
Nothing is being done by INS to speed up the processing times.
Things are going to get even worse when

INS has to process more H1s.
Many people will be filing I-824 for CP since it is required now.
I guess I-485 will take 3 years.
