  • Tracking a Case

    I got I140 approval on July12th which said
    my case was automatically forwarded to the NVC.

    However even as of today, my case is not in
    NVC . (I checked from automated response@603 334 0700
    and as well as called the operator at NVC).

    Does this forwarding happens automatically from
    INS when it says so in the 140 approval notice
    or do I (or my lawyer) have to take any steps
    to do that ?

    Any other way to track my case ? What are the typical
    delays for this process ?

    You should call INS and involve lawyer to trace where is your packet. INS is very good in losing I-140 in mail room etc. Call NVC operator also to check whether they have any information.

      Call NVC

      If you call NVC they will tell you what to do if your case is lost. They will usually act only if 90 days have passed from the date of Approval.

      Call and talk to them. It easier to talk to NVC than the INS.

        INS to NVC

        Hi Mikku

        My I-140 from CSC was approved on 4th July but still not reachd NVC. After 90 days I faxed all my details to NVC and they very promptly sent a letter stating that the file hasn't reached them and that we should request a duplicate file from CSC.

        We are trying to get our attorney to follow-up since CSC does not deal with the beneficiary.
