Successor In Interest

Hi Immihelp/All,

I was preparing to go for my CP to India. Mine is a successor in interest case. My amended I-140 has yet not been approved and I was hoping to get a succession in interest letter and have my CP done.

Do you see any risk in the CP being denied due to successor in interest or would you recommend that I wait till my amended I-140 is approved to go for the CP interview. In that case I would have to call the consulate to have my date to be postponed.

I would say, better check with a lawyer for reliable information on this critical question.

you don't need I140 amendment for SII. Check past posting on this issue here. I had SII case and had successful IV interview in Mumbai recently.
