Has anyone been able to speak to someone
at the US Consulate in CJ? Is the phone number
    1-900-225-5520? It's always busy...

I also have another question: I have received
only ONE original copy of the I-797. The employer
(the University I'm at) has not received the so
called 'courtesy' copy. I have been told that CSC
doesn't send this second copy. Is that right?
The thing is, I wouldn't be at ease sending the only
original I-797 that I have to CJ. Any advice?

    Thank you.

If you check this site under CP in CJ then there is another 888 no. listed on the site.
REgarding I-140 originals. There are always two copies. One the Employer gets and the other is sent to the Attorney. So you should have 2 copies.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

Regarding the I-797: What if there is no attorney in all this? In my case (I work at a university), there is a person in the Off. of Int'l. Students and Scholars that does all the INS applications on my behalf. In other words, the 'employer' and the 'attorney' are basically the same. This person told me that we received only one I-797 notice. Moreover, she said that this is the policy at INS CSC (to send only one I-797), not only when they deal with the university.
Anyone out there with similar experiences? Anyone who received 2 I-797's from CSC?
      Thanks.
