All of the discussion leads to one fact that NVC & Consulates-Bombay,Delhi,Chennai Staff is very responsive and courteous. Let's together decide not to overwhelm them with unnecessary requests. Let's use them as and when it is necessary. Calling or emailing them frequently will hurt new comers and us in the long run.

Calling consulate and nvc

I totally agree. I have myself made it a point to call NVC only for critical issues. As far as the consulate goes, we really need to call the consulate only twice, once to confirm that packet 3 has reached the consulate, other to confirm the interview date. Otherwise, calling them several times will not only hurt the Candidate's chances, but also hurt other chances.
