Experience on notarized employment letter

Hi all,
I have read couple of discussions on notarized employment letter.

Is it not difficult to get the signature of the executive of the company
before a notary?

Are there any other methods of getting the notarized employment letter?

Who are the possible executives that can sign the employment letter?

Please share your experience and openion.

It is not uncommon to find a person with notary license at the companys' headquarter.

You can go to any bank (preferrably the one which you have your account) and you will find a notary inside. He/She will be a bank employee. So you have to wait for your turn once you are in the bank. It will be free service as you are an account holder.

Alternatively, if you know any schools(I mean grad schools/univ) they too will be having a notary. They will ofcourse charge a nominal fee say $2-$3.

The notary's function is to assert that the person who signed the document did so in their presence. They do not state anything about the veracity of the doc itself.

As a result, the document's signer (the HR person from your company) has to be physically present to sign the letter *at* the notary's location.

As others have mentioned, in many cases this is not a problem as someone or the other in the company is a licensed notary.
