Proof of residence reqd?

Hi,

Do you need to supply some documents for proof of residence during CP interview. What kind of documents qualify?

Immihelp has listed Apartment Lease papers as 'nice to have' and a few people have mentioned that they were asked to show apmt lease papers in their experiences. My situation is that I do not have a rental lease or mortgage. I am perpetually on travel. I file my taxes from State X and my W2 comes to an address in that state(a friend's place). This is the address I have listed as present residence at my company(hence the W2) and in 230-I forms filed to the consulate. Does the address on W2 and pay stubs qualify?

Usally when someone (DMV,..) ask for proof of residence I show them something I received with my address(residenc)on it. I think bank statements, credit card statements, phone bills etc.,..with your address on it might help
