  • AC140 in ND, got a case # but ??

My dates were current on Feb 15th, delivered P3 (AC140) to ND on Feb 16th. They mailed me a blank P3 on Feb 22nd with a new case #, in the meantime NVC sent my case to Delhi Consulate.
I was hoping I will get an interview date soon, so I was sitting tight, but unfortunately when I got through the consulate yesterday they said I still need to submit P3. This is from the case# from AC140 and not that from NVC.

Any pointers to what I should do now?

    Thanks,

    PJ

I don't understand what you are saying. You filed an AC140 when you were doing consular Processing - Am I reading you correctly?. You should NOT BE FILING AC140 if you case is CP. Read about it in this site ( Contact a Lawyer if necessary)

    Now about numbers.............

Once your Case files pass thru NVC your EAC # is history. NVC will assign you a case number. You can call NVC and they will give you the number. That is the number you should be using fo any communication with the consulate.

Later when you re-enter you will get an A# at the POE. Then another ARC # at TSC. What a bloody messy system, coudn't they have one damn number I wonder ( Maybe some of us have to write some software to straiten out the clurge of numbers)

      HI,

First of all answer to your quesiton about different case number. I read somwehere where he suggested that don't worry about the second case number from NVC. Use the original case number and call delhi consulate to tell this new number from NVC and old number together, so that they can reconcile the two files.

I am also interested in doing AC I-140 from New Delhi. can you please tell me how did you delievered the packet to Consulate. Does it need to come through attorney or can I get it hand deliever since I have heard cases where delhi office has lost the files sent by mail.
