Anyone going through CP in Tokyo, Japan?

I need to find out if anybody is going through CP in Tokyo and know which way is faster, sending Packet3 from US or going to Japan and send the Packet3 from Japan or going directly at embassy and get interview date.
I already received my Packet3 and I am leaving here soon.
Should I wait to send Packet3 until I get there or I should go ahead and send it from here in US?

Please someone advise!!

As far as I know, shouldn't you send the Pk3 first and wait for Pk4 from consulate in Japan? If you send Pk3 here in US right now, you might wait at least 1-2 months before your interview is scheduled.

I'm not from Japan, but this is a general information. Please take at your own discretion.

Hi,

You can send it from here or Japan. It doesn't matter. I think your IV number will be requested as an April report since 3/15/01 already passed, and then your interview will be scheduled in June. American Embassy Tokyo requests IV number as of 15th every month. That means the next deadline is 4/15/01. And then it takes about one month to get back from NVC which is already May, and then your interview will be probably scheduled in June, I guess.
Here is my case
1/9/01: American Embassy Tokyo got OF-230 Pt1 and OF-169 (They already had my case from NVC at this point.)
2/14/01: I heard about my interview date
from them by fax
3/14/01: Interview

I will leaving here for Japan tomorrow.
I will try calling them and find out if they
could schedule me earlier than June (because
I have lots of work left here in the states)
