Usually the recording will say that "information sheet regarding AOS has been sent to Attorney of record". If you are not sure, then just talk to the operator. Also, if you have got this recording then if you wish, you dont need to wait for the attorney to receive it. You can do it yourself.

are yousure that you can send the information sheet on your own? Do you know of anyone who has done that?

When I spoke to the operator yestrday, she told to me to ask my lawyer to send it in.

Yes you can do that. This is what I did yesterday:
1 Called NVC - the operator says it has to be from lawyer.
2 Immediately called again different operator I told her if I can fax her. She said she can not take fax beacuse they get millions of faxes everyday.
3. Immediately called again different operator I told her if I can fax her. She said it's fine i can put her name on the fax. That's it. The content in the fax was "I would like to go with CP at Mumbai, India. Please send us P3 information at the address given to you on my I 140 approval notice".
4. Called after few hours the another operator said they have entered my information.
5. Checked the message this morning it says now the forms will be mailed to me soon.

Fax them immediatley at (603) 334-0791. I know it's not a good idea to keep bugging them all the time but hey! even we have suffered a lot through out the process.

yes nIks200.. I did it myself. The operator I spoke to told me to overnit it to him (not fax). So I did that and the info. was then immediately entered into their system.

Thanks a lot bd850 and KBC for your info on submitting informational sheet. I called up NVC and spoke to an operator and faxed a letter stating my intent and called up again and they have accepted iyt and has been entered in the system.

I will now wait for pkt 3 to be mailed.

Amitabh my attorney recd. pkt.3 from NVC yest. on 25th. Though I had already sent out my pkt.3 on 24th.

Just wanted to know whats your status? have you recd. pkt.3?

You had mentioned in your earlier postings that you had sent out an e-mail to mumbai consulate to see if they recd your case from NVC.

Got a I-551 stamp on my passport at SFO

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let you know that I finally got my permanent residency on 3/19/01. I'm now just waiting for my real plastic green card. The immigratin officer told me that it takes about 6 to 9 months to be mailed to me.
