7th Year H-1 ISsues for CP

I applied for a 7th year Extension in November due to my PD not being current. Now, my PD is current so I am proceeding with my CP process. Meanwhile, I don't have a new H-1 due the INS hold on 7th year cases.

I am expecting an interview in the next 3-4 months. How are people handling these cases? I guess I can take my H-1 application receipt along. Any other suggestions?

Are you trying to exercise the new enacted law which allows for extensions past 6 year mark?
If so, does it apply for CP as well as AOS?

Yes, I am trying to use the new law.

When I applied for my H-1 my PD was not current. That was the reason that I used for applying for my H-1.

Now I have decided to go with the CP process, I only have the receipt for the 7th year H-1, as the INS has put a hold on all such cases.
