I have misdemeanor B record and got deferred probation (6 months) for first offense two years ago. Is there any possibility of denial if I try to go CP? BTW, the probation officer told me that I should claim no record under any situation since I fully served my deferred probation term.

I am not sure what kinda problem you have had. But I would think it would be riskier since if u are denied then you would not be able to appeal. However for CP they only run a background check by name and for AOS your entire fingerprints are checked by NCIC.
If this comforts you, I know some people who got their GC in similar kind of situation. Were you convicted or were the charges dropped????

I hired a stupid lawyer when that happened. He asked me to plea no contest instead of going to a jury trial. And that can save me a lot of money. Anyway I decided to take my chance now. Thanks a lot for your reply.

how do we check if there is such a record or what ? coz. i also had disorderly conduct for first offence. but then it was just a fine. is there some bureau which gives this kind of report ?
