Hi,
We are expecting to start the consular processing in India soon.
My question is regarding the surname change.
My passport is still in the maiden name. But is it possible to get my
immigrant visa to US with my husband's surname ? As supporting documents, I
have the marriage certificate and the surname change affidavit.
If not possible now, can I get the surname changed in GC later in USA from the
INS, after I change my surname in the passport ?
If anybody has any information regarding this issue, please let me know.
